🎨ArtMap Guide
ArtMap lets you create pixel art paintings in Wintercrest using a 32x32 canvas on an easel.
🖌️ Basic Tools & Drawing
Dyes
- Found at /artmap.
- Infinite use - you can use them forever unless you lose them.
- Each dye provides 4 variations: Base colour, Shade, Tint, Darker Shade.
Drawing methods
- Left-click with dye: place a single pixel.
- Right-click with dye: draw continuously until released.
Eyedropper
- Right-click: select a colour from the canvas.
- Left-click: paint with the selected colour (no dye required).
🔄 Canvas Rotation & Placement
Rotate while working
- Compass + Left-click: rotate horizontally.
- Compass + Right-click: rotate vertically.
Stacking canvases
- Place easels on blocks, then remove the blocks to leave them floating.
- This lets you build large artworks by stacking canvases side by side or vertically.
🪣 Filling & Erasing
Fill tool
- Hold dye in off-hand and bucket in main hand.
- Left-click an area to fill with the chosen colour.
Erasure
- There's no true eraser, but you can "erase" by repainting with the background colour (white).
🔒 Saving & Protection
Artwork protection
- Canvases are automatically protected so others cannot copy your work.
- You can also use /maplock for extra security.
Saving
- Use /artmap save
to save a piece. - Saves can be overwritten with a save kit.
Duplicating
- If it's your own artwork, you can duplicate it using empty maps + artmap in a crafting or cartography table.
